3 Tips to Balance Your Work & Home Life

Brett Tolman has had his fair share of late nights at the office and over the years he has learned how to produce results within his career while keeping his family happy. If you are an attorney, you might find it hard to separate your work and home life, especially if you are in the early years of your career. Here are Brett’s 3 tips on how to balance your work life and home life.

  1. Use Modern Technology:
    Modern technology allows us to be more flexible, being able to work without being in the office, therefore more time with the family. If you aren’t familiar with technology, we would recommend to start using it to help you power through your day etc.

  2. Project Management:
    Ask yourself, “Does this have to be done NOW?” Dont give yourself artificial deadlines as it only creates headaches for yourself and clients. Dont over promise and under deliver. Give yourself realistic deadlines to succeed on.

  3. Learn to Say “No”:
    When you say “yes” to an assignment but cant deliver because of obligations at home. It just leads to everybody getting frustrated with unnecessary fights.
